Get the rhythm

Students in Years 3 and 4 will ‘get the rhythm’ and learn about health, medicine and related sciences at this fun event for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students.

The event takes place at a Western Sydney University campus and begins with a local elder delivering a Welcome to Country. The students then meet their guides for the day - Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander university students who are studying health-related degrees.

There are five different workshops that groups of students rotate through during the day. They’re also given workbooks with information, and questions to answer.

Parents and carers of invited students are very welcome to attend the event and should indicate they'll be attending on the permission form sent by the school prior to each event.
